The circular black portal seen in the photographs is a threshold between manipulated and wild environments. The threshold invites us to enter the landscape and represents several ideas: the circle of life and death, a door that leads to unadulterated nature, or the dark presence of humanity's impact on nature. With the portals and photographs, I explore my relationship with nature, a sacred space that deserves respect and protection.
